Windestine Senescence

I have a lot of indies that I need to start wearing, so today I have one of them! It's Windestine Senescence, which I got as a freebie for ordering 2 or more polishes.

Senescence is a dark olive green base with copper shimmer and subtle holo sparkle. I wasn't sure what free polish I was going to get but I'm happy to say that I'm completely thrilled with this one! It's such a beautiful color. The shimmer is amazing. It's also unique to my collection. Formula wise, I was impressed. It was easy to apply and I only needed two coats, plus a coat of top coat.

This is the first polish I've worn from my Windestine order and I'm completely happy with it and the brand. It doesn't look like Senescence is being sold in the Etsy shop. It's probably a discontinued color from a previous collection, but who knows, you might get lucky and end up with it in your order!

Windestine is sold here for $8 a bottle. Minis are also available for $3.

China Glaze Ingrid

Today I have a polish that I bought on a whim. I might have been suckered in by the $1.99 price tag. It's China Glaze Ingrid.

Ingrid comes from the China Glaze Vintage Vixen collection of 2010. It is a chocolate brown with beautiful shimmer. I have no prior experience with brown polishes. I have never found myself lusting after them, but figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a chance. I could end up loving it. Well, I don't love it, but I do like it. It's different from what I'm used to. It's still pretty. I used three coats, plus one coat of top coat.

I'm really glad I tried Ingrid, even if I don't love it. It was nice to get out of my polish comfort zone.

Sephora By OPI Eve-y On The Eyes

I was busy all last week with work, so I barely had time to paint my nails, but this week has been much better. Unfortunately my nails are super short nubs, thanks to my job. I'm really sad that they're so short, I can't wait until they grow out. Anyway, today I have Sephora Eve-y On The Eyes, which I found at Marshalls a few weeks ago.

Sephora By OPI Eve-y On The Eyes is from the Garden of Good and Evil from last year. It's a dark purple with beautiful shimmer and it is gorgeous! My heart skipped a beat after doing a test swatch on my nail. I really love it. I couldn't capture the shimmer all that well, but it's so much better in person. The formula was really good. I only used three coats, but a third wouldn't have hurt.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to this beauty when it was originally released, but I'm glad I now have it. I almost left with it's super similar sister, Sephora By OPI Who's Spinning Tonight? but I'm more than happy with my choice.

Aphrodite Lacquers:

Darling Diva:

Pretty & Polished:

So that's all of my nail mail I have for now! I cannot wait to start wearing them. I recently ordered five more polishes from Smitten and they're on the way to me as we speak. After those come, I'm not going to even try putting myself on a "no buy" but I am going to be a bit more cautious about my purchases. Wish me luck! I am officially indie obsessed.

Sephora By OPI I Only Shop Vintage

Today I have a polish that I found at T.J. Maxx about a month or so ago. It is Sephora By OPI I Only Shop Vintage, which was a great deal at just $3.99.

I Only Shop Vintage is a light caramel brown with beautiful golden shimmer. I don't have anything like it. I wasn't sure at first if it was a color for me, but I still wanted to give it a chance and I'm glad I did! I really, really like it! It is similar to China Glaze Fast Track, which I hope to get one day, but warmer. The shimmer is so gorgeous. I took more pictures in the shade than in the sun just so you could see it. The formula was easy to work with. It was sheer on the first coat, but it was perfect by the third.

I'm glad I went out of my polish comfort zone and bought I Only Shop Vintage. It ended up being a great decision because I really do love it. I won't hesitate to try polishes like it in the future.
